CsI(Tl) Scintillator

Cesium iodide (CsI) scintillator is an inorganic scintillator with cesium iodide (CsI) as matrix material, which can be divided into thallium activated (Tl) and sodium (Na) activated and both are colorless and transparent cubic scintillators.

It is characterized by high density, high average atomic number, high detection efficiency for γ-ray and X-ray. It has no cleavage and good processibility, can be made into various shapes. It is widely used in high energy physics, nuclear physics, space physics, security inspection (luggage & container), industrial level gauge and so on.
